Window components made from aluminum that will lend themselves to a pre-painted coil finish can be coated with a Dynakote II product. The excellent adhesion and flexibility properties of Dynakote II coatings provide superior post forming performance to enhance the coated product?s appearance and durability for years to come.
Dynakote II coatings are formulated to be coil coated on aluminum substrates that have been properly cleaned and pretreated in accordance with Valspar?s technical specifications. Long-life durability and performance are achieved by applying 0.65 - 0.85 mils of Dynakote II finish as a single coat on aluminum. Dynakote II products may be applied as a single coat finish or utilized with a primer to meet specific roll-forming and corrosion requirements.
Dynakote II coatings require minimal maintenance. Surface residue is generally removed with conventional cleaning solutions and/or detergents. Conventional caulking compounds and sealants are acceptable for use in conjunction with Dynakote II products. It is recommended that the specific caulk or sealant first be tested to ensure satisfactory performance when applied to a Dynakote II finish.
